Student athletes and staff members at SAIT Polytechnic launched their second annual, “Make Some Noise For Mental Health” Campaign Tuesday with the hopes of ending the stigma against mental illnesses.
Hundreds of people banded together and marched across campus in a mobile parade to encourage openmindedness and better promote resources to students in need.
What started with an idea last year by Trojans Athletics Communications Director, Billie-Rae Busby has since expanded to all 17 schools in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).
Students can participate in activities all week including a DJ spin on Wednesday and a DJ yoga event on Thursday.
The campaign wraps up this weekend where a special set of volleyball, hockey, and basketball games will get underway with free admission for all SAIT Students.
