The City of Calgary agreed to lift its injunction on Uber drivers and will move forward with its application.
On November 29th, a lawyer representing Uber’s drivers asked the City to agree to have the injunction lifted.
The City has reviewed and confirmed that Uber met its licensing requirements and its drivers have fulfilled the safety and administration requirements of the Livery Transport Bylaw.
Manager of Compliance for The City of Calgary, Marc Halat, says safety is and always has been a top priority and they are pleased Uber has met the bylaw requirements.
Uber will be able to operate in Calgary as of early December.
