Recreational marijuana is set to be sold online and in retail stores across British Columbia once it becomes legal later this year.
The main thing the provincial government wanted to make clear is that weed will not be sold at liquor stores or businesses that sell tobacco.
There will also be a smooth registration process for businesses interested in selling pot (according to the BC government), but after going through the provincial registration, they will still have to be approved by their local governments.
Stoners will be able to enjoy their kush anywhere outdoors where tobacco and vaping is allowed. And as expected, it will not be allowed anywhere near spots where children are present (ie. Playgrouds, school yards).
As with alcohol though, marijuana will not be permitted in vehicles and there will be a 90-day driving ban if you are caught driving under the influence.
