Huge moves all across the NHL on trade deadline day

It was a busy day in head offices league wide as many teams were looking to boost their lineup down the stretch.

Several teams who have big playoff hope were ‘buyers’ at the deadline such as the San Jose Sharks who picked up star forward Evander Kane from Buffalo.

Another big move was the east leading Tampa Bay Lighting bringing in former Rangers Captain Ryan Mcdonagh and forward J.T. Miller.

The Flames weren’t idol as they acquired center Nick Shore to add depth down the middle.

The Oilers who were expected to be sellers at the deadline, moved first liner Pat Maroon to New Jersey.

Another surprise was a some big trade bait names ended up staying put.

Erik Karlsson and Max Pacioretty who were both expected to be dealt in blockbuster deals are staying on their respective teams, at least until the end of the season.
