Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sat down today with the premiers of Alberta and British Columbia in an attempt to break the trans mountain pipeline impasse.
At the meeting Trudeau reiterated that the federal government has the authority to ensure the pipeline will be built.
The B.C. government has responded that they will continue to pursue action against the pipeline construction through the courts regardless of the federal government claims.
Update: An Angus Reid poll was published on April 18, which stated the majority of B.C. residence are in favor of the Kinder Morgan pipeline.
