Alberta plans to begin enforcing social distancing

The Alberta government has said they will be announcing new rules this week around COVID-19 social distancing.

“A plan is in place and will be starting to roll out”

The province has received many reports of people not following advice to stay in.

Deputy chief medical officer, Dr. Marcia Johnson has said, “A plan is in place and will be starting to roll out within the next week. There’s also power being provided to the police to deal with, through fines to people that may not be following the recommendations.”
