One of the four men suspected of the violent kidnapping of Wanzhen Lu last month has turned himself in to police.
Lu, a 22-year-old student from China, was violently abducted in the underground parking garage on the evening of March 23. He was found when he knocked on the door of a home in the town of Gravenhurst on March 27, and a resident called police.
“He was suffering from minor injuries”
“He was suffering from minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been reunited with his family,” York Regional Police said.
Abdullahi Adan surrendered to police after York Regional Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest on Monday. He is the first of four suspects identified by police.
Adan is facing four criminal charges including kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and assault.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and they’re still searching for three remaining suspects who are considered armed and dangerous.
